Another Twenty-One Year Marker and Changes
MAY 23, 2018
The Santa Rosa Labyrinth went from a piece of
paper to the Earth for the first time
on May 23, 1997
### It was to be a day of initiation on many levels
### and a sign of more changes
### soon to come...
You can read more about this story on my new labyrinth website, [Labyrinth Architects](https://www.labyrintharchitects.com/blog/2018/5/23/santa-rosa-labyrinth-comes-to-earth), which is one of the changes that I would like to share with you all. I am planning at this time to still keep up my Nurturing website and Friday Haiku. I will send out a more formal invitation to visit and sign up for my labyrinth website and news at some point in the near future, but in the meantime, you can take a look around and sign up now if you so desire.

I will also be navigating soon to a new newsletter carrier as my current one has failed me in too many ways. I am hoping that the change over will be seamless and that you will still see me every Saturday morning in your inbox!

Twenty-one years is feeling important. Three times seven turns of completion. And instead of letting change happen to me... I am stepping into and initiating changes in more ways than ever before!

Thank you for joining me in these explorations of the heart, of nurturing our minds, our spirits, and our bodies through connecting with the beauty to be found within us and around us on this path through life.

Here are two photos from the evening of May 23, 2018, with the help of technology to allow Marilyn and I to cross space and time to be together in ceremony in our Santa Rosa Labyrinths, Marilyn in Minnesota and me in California, celebrating this incredible day.

Labyrinths provide us with a path to practice change. Some labyrinths have withstood the passage of time for thousands of years. Others are here for just an afternoon, drawn in the sand at the edge of the ocean. Many modern labyrinths were meant to last for years, but because of unforeseen circumstances their time is shorter than intended. And they once again help us to practice letting go and giving thanks for the time they are with us. The Labyrinth of Life at the Sebastopol, California Teen Center reached such place of letting go and is at the end of one chapter and the beginning of another chapter that is yet unknown.

Sometimes... a labyrinth can take years to become a physical reality. In 2018 I met with my friend Deb, to discuss her desire to have a labyrinth on the beautiful land she lives on. Despite our plans and several meetings, listening to the land and finding the right spot, the labyrinth did not come to fruition. Fast-forward five years and in the blink of an eye... it happened!
