Ode To Spooge
JANUARY 16, 2007
_There was this dapper,_
_little, not small,_
_white, with a sprinkle of tan,_
_wiry,_
_character of a dog_
_who sparked our neighborhood…_
_Who barked with,_
_oh what joy_
_to see you,_
_greet you,_
_eagerly_
_with all the enthusiasm_
_of his stub of a tail…_
_He walked his humans_
_with pride_
_and dignity_
_that he was the dog,_
_the dog of the Benton hood,_
_a King,_
_a Gangster,_
_a Clown,_
_a Gentleman,_
_a Jack Russell of all Trades,_
_aged to perfection…_
On learning of dear Spooge's passing...
