Poetree Labyrinth ~ TLS ~ 2009
OCTOBER 15, 2009
_\* Soft sun calms the longing..._
_\* Jumping into Being,_
_\* Sending juice back to my center of earthy groundedness..._
_\* Live large and wild on a beach of dreams,_
_\* Fading glories explode into brilliance in the last gasps_
_of the hot sun._
_\* Cool days, brisk nights, warm cuddles..._
_\* Awakening... colors! Anticipation- Aromas,_
_\* I accept what is and am thrilled at what is to come..._
_\* Winter Hiver a drunkard we can't talk about,_
_\*The Joy of precious discoveries,_
_\* Summer calling, come and play,_
_dance the labyrinth day away..._
_\* You, me, and Autumn._
_Winter..._
_carving runes on an old oak tree_
_and making love to an angel..._
_\* Through all seasons_
_our feet kiss the gentle earth honoring her._
_\*Spring as yellow birth, Summer as green and growth,_
_Fall as red~orange and maturity,_
_Winter as white and regeneration..._
_\*Where good intentions,_
_good plans and goodness itself_
_meets the grandeur of growth that's summer..._
_\*The shared passion of labyrinths_
_breathes possibilities into my heart..._
_\* Celebrating life..._
_\* In all seasons..._
_may the God of Green Hope..._
_walk with you always..._
_\* Summer concrete sets too quickly_
_and sticky nights pass_
_too slowly..._
_\* I breathe these seasons into my bones_
_and step more fully into life..._
_\* Greens burst forth in a refreshing and delicious display_
_of life made new..._

Labyrinths provide us with a path to practice change. Some labyrinths have withstood the passage of time for thousands of years. Others are here for just an afternoon, drawn in the sand at the edge of the ocean. Many modern labyrinths were meant to last for years, but because of unforeseen circumstances their time is shorter than intended. And they once again help us to practice letting go and giving thanks for the time they are with us. The Labyrinth of Life at the Sebastopol, California Teen Center reached such place of letting go and is at the end of one chapter and the beginning of another chapter that is yet unknown.

Sometimes... a labyrinth can take years to become a physical reality. In 2018 I met with my friend Deb, to discuss her desire to have a labyrinth on the beautiful land she lives on. Despite our plans and several meetings, listening to the land and finding the right spot, the labyrinth did not come to fruition. Fast-forward five years and in the blink of an eye... it happened!
