_this well of darkness_
_my soul is nourished..._
_This vast night_
_holds this gift of light,_
_this turn of Winter_
_and the promise of Spring..._
_I am not yet ready to dance_
_but trust that when the music starts_
_I will hear that one note_
_that will carry_
_me once again_
_into this gift_

Six years ago when I began blogging, [Lynn Jericho's Inner Christmas ~ the Twelve Holy Nights](http://www.innerchristmasmessages.com/) was a pivotal point in my blogging life. The theme for this Eighth Year of Inner Christmas Messages is The Twelve Gifts. This is my offering for the first gift ~ the gift of nourishment

Where do you find nourishment this time of year? What feeds your soul, your creative imagination, the yearnings of your heart?

I do not have the words to express my appreciation for the many ways I've been nourished through this past year. Thank you to all of you for the many ways you have taken care of me. A word, a gesture, a heart-felt thought has helped me navigate the hardest year of my life. I am most fortunate and very thankful.

The Retiring of a Labyrinth

Labyrinths provide us with a path to practice change. Some labyrinths have withstood the passage of time for thousands of years. Others are here for just an afternoon, drawn in the sand at the edge of the ocean. Many modern labyrinths were meant to last for years, but because of unforeseen circumstances their time is shorter than intended. And they once again help us to practice letting go and giving thanks for the time they are with us. The Labyrinth of Life at the Sebastopol, California Teen Center reached such place of letting go and is at the end of one chapter and the beginning of another chapter that is yet unknown.

Making A Three Circuit Labyrinth

Sometimes... a labyrinth can take years to become a physical reality. In 2018 I met with my friend Deb, to discuss her desire to have a labyrinth on the beautiful land she lives on. Despite our plans and several meetings, listening to the land and finding the right spot, the labyrinth did not come to fruition. Fast-forward five years and in the blink of an eye... it happened!
