Where I Go On Monday Nights...

For those of us that paint or make art of any kind... creative expression is the very air we breathe... so having the time and space to create is more than precious... and good art supplies are a must to do so!
Santa Rosa is soooooo lucky to have Simmon and Robin Factor, the artist~owners of **[The Village Art Supply](http://www.villageartsupply.com/)**... This is one of my favorite stores and I so appreciate having this wealth of art supplies to choose from!!!

Even though I love working in my studio...

Simmon has opened his studio on Monday nights for
painters to gather and do just that, paint... giving each other
inspiration and a focus to work on week after week...
So with art supplies in hand,
interactive acrylics that is...

I'll give you a peek here at one piece I'm working on...

This is a commissioned piece and I want to surprise its new owner, but give them, and you, a taste of what is unfolding! So more pictures to come!!!

By the way... I finished my magic box made from a gourd, apoxie sculpt, mirrored tiles, tempered glass, paper, iron sconce, jasper, and tourmaline!

The Retiring of a Labyrinth

Labyrinths provide us with a path to practice change. Some labyrinths have withstood the passage of time for thousands of years. Others are here for just an afternoon, drawn in the sand at the edge of the ocean. Many modern labyrinths were meant to last for years, but because of unforeseen circumstances their time is shorter than intended. And they once again help us to practice letting go and giving thanks for the time they are with us. The Labyrinth of Life at the Sebastopol, California Teen Center reached such place of letting go and is at the end of one chapter and the beginning of another chapter that is yet unknown.

Making A Three Circuit Labyrinth

Sometimes... a labyrinth can take years to become a physical reality. In 2018 I met with my friend Deb, to discuss her desire to have a labyrinth on the beautiful land she lives on. Despite our plans and several meetings, listening to the land and finding the right spot, the labyrinth did not come to fruition. Fast-forward five years and in the blink of an eye... it happened!
